You only need a doctor’s note (Fit Note) if you are unable to work and are ill for longer than seven calendar days. The Fit Note can also give advice to you and your employer so that you may continue working taking into consideration your condition or ill health. Your employer will provide you with an SC2 self-certificate form for shorter periods of illness.
