As well as helping patients with illnesses we as a practice are committed to helping you minimise the chances of you developing chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, chronic lung conditions and diabetes.

In partnership with our colleagues in nursing, the hospitals, councils and the voluntary sectors we are able to offer or refer you to clinics including those dealing with :

  • Ante-Natal
  • Immunisation
  • Family Planning
  • Cervical Smears
  • Travel Advice
  • Weight
  • Counselling
  • Cryotherapy (Wart)

Screening

We are fully committed to minimising the risks of developing chronic medical problems and are involved in all national screening programmes. In addition to this patients aged between 16 and 75 who have not been seen in the previous 3 years can request an appointment with the Practice Nurse. Patients aged 75 and over who have not been seen in the previous 12 months can also request a similar appointment with the Practice Nurse, and if they are unfit to travel can be seen at home.

Minor Ailment Service

This is a new service that local pharmacies provide   If you qualify for exemption from prescription charges then you can discuss any minor ailment with the pharmacist and receive treatment from them.
